The final season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine will premiere this August on NBC following the Summer Olympics.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine's eighth season will premiere Thursday, August 12 at 8/7c with another new episode at 8:30/7:30c. The final season will air each Thursday at those times.
NBC originally renewed Brooklyn Nine-Nine for an eighth season back in 2019 which was set to air in 2020/21. Following production delays due to the pandemic, NBC announced in February that the eighth season would would not air until 2021/22. At the same time, the network announced that the eighth season would be Brooklyn Nine-Nine's last.
The 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo were of course postponed last year because of the pandemic. Although the Japanese government is pressing ahead with plans to host the games this year, NBC has admitted its schedule would likely need to change if the games do not go ahead.
